I'm "growing up" and getting my mattress/box spring off the floor. But I don't actually know what I want/like in a bed. :huh
These are some of the ones I've found... Sears, sleigh bed, love the colour, don't know if it would be "too big" 'Ebony' panel bed. Not sure if I like the bed itself, but I like the black... I don't mind the wood of this one, and actually think I quite like the bed itself... I'm "okay" with this bed, but would have to see how I liked the mattresses offered with it - that's probably where I'd run in to trouble Simple, clean, shown in a dark stain which I like... Could work. Again, it's simple, it's clean... I'd ultimately prefer a darker stain, but the bed is good still. I'm so confused! LOL -------------------- Fear not the future, for it doesn't exist and never shall. There is only now.

The last one is no longer valid. Me, personally, I like a bed without a footboard, because it makes putting sheets on SO much easier, but since all of yours have them, I'll choose one of them that I like the best, not taking into consideration the footboards.
Sleigh beds are pretty, but they do take up a LOT of space in a room. If you have a small bedroom, you might not want to get a sleigh bed because it will dwarf the room even more. I like the third one the best out of all the ones you posted, because I think the detail on the headboard is nice. The second one would be my next choice. I like the panel look. The fourth one looks nice, but I don't like the open slats. I don't know about you, but with me, I'd get hands/arms/feet hung. LoL The fifth one is hard to tell, because it's not an actual picture of a real bed, but a computer generated one. It doesn't look all that different than the Sears panel bed to me. It does come in your choice of colors, though. I actually have a "bookcase bed" with no footboard. I like it because it has a light and storage in/on the headboard and you don't need bedside tables. Kristen - that third one is also the one that I keep going back to. It's a bummer the last one wasn't working, because my toss up after thinking about it yesterday wound up being between those two. lol
But I am really really liking the third one... Has matching nightstands that I could buy, too... Right now, my "bed" (as much as it's sitting on the floor lol) sounds a lot like yours - my headboard has bookcase-like storage. So I don't have a nightstand because I've never needed one. and LOL to getting hands/feet/etc caught in the slats... I totally get what you mean, and that WOULD end up happening to me! -------------------- Fear not the future, for it doesn't exist and never shall. There is only now.

I like the sleigh bed. I refinished one several years ago that I bought for $130.00 from an antiques dealer. He let me dig through the store room of stuff that he had planed on restoring, so I'm partial to the sleigh bed. I do also like the black one. Also remember, you can mix and match your furniture as long as the styles are pretty close to the same and the colors compliment each other.
